as if anything is normal within Chi Alpha New Orleans...
however, this week is as close as we get: no officially planned, special events. If you're new, this is a great week to check out a Satellite group, or prayer gathering just to see what Chi Alpha looks like, how we work.
Something rather nifty, that's popping up: small groups are gathering throughout the week for brief and/or extended times of prayer. These little gatherings are the makings of a real spiritual awakening. It's all quite exciting.
Watch for new pics coming soon from last weeks excitement: Saturday was the largest day of service nolaxa has ever done. 4 teams went out around the city. It was rockin!
PS: thanks for Mr. George Gallien, and Loyola University Ministry for the scrumptious BBQ after work!

We will return to finish gutting the Smith's house on Robert E. Lee, and are working on a second project, as we expect a big turnout. RSVP via email or the facebook event to get the details on where to meet, etc... (we need the RSVP to make sure we have enough rides, and enough masks and gloves)
Afterwards, we will have a free BBQ compliments of Loyola University Ministry. This BBQ is for all those who will serve on Saturday and/or have served in any of this semester's previous service projects with Chi Alpha.

Action and BBQ
Hey everyone!
I hope everyone is coming out of midterms with their sanity and their GPA intact. Well if you're looking for a little post-midterm breather, or if you just want to join with us to continue to rebuild our city we have the solution! We'll be going out again on Sat. March 25th to do more service. We'll send you more details in the next few days, but we wanted to make sure you save the date. (There may be more than one team, but at least some of us will be returing to Shonda's parents' home on Robert E. Lee. Shonda and Sullivan are Chi Alpha directors at McNeese St. University.)
As an added bonus, we are going to have a BBQ afterwards to reward all those who have come with us on any type of service project throughout the semester. Ya'll are making a significant difference to those you help and we just wanted to say, "thanks!" So, bring your friends and come out with us on Sat. March 25th!
Keep up to date with XA via the calendar.
