the Gathering - Monday March 10th at Tulane

It's that time of the month again, and we're headed back to Tulane.

Meet us Monday at the Kendall Cram Room in Tulane's LBC (university center) at 8pm.

Our theme for this month is GREEN. What does God tell us about our place on planet Earth? What kind of significance does that have for us?

Come join us in song, meet some great people, and engage God through the Bible, and bring a friend. :)

this Community is putting Faith into Action

It has been a great start to the year, and only promises to get better this weekend, as we get out and get dirty rebuilding New Orleans.

Already this year, we have been able to collect over $100 in donations and school supplies for Louisiana children with incarcerated parents. And last night, we collected $93 at the Gathering for Invisible Children's Education Program to empower war-affected children of northern Ugandan to achieve economic freedom in the harshest of circumstances.

Now, it's time to get the gloves on this Saturday - the 10th.

We will be working with a rebuilding group based out of a local church: St. Luke Assembly of God. The group is called Hands2Go.

***CHANGE****
Instead of gutting, we will be helping at St. Mary's Academy. They have classrooms that need putting together: desks and that good stuff.

If you would like to join us, please call 504.655.9273 or email action@nolaxa.com to sign up.

Lunch will be provided, as well as water to drink.

We will meet up at 8:30 am at PJs on Freret (at Tulane), and start cleaning up around 2:30 pm to be home between 3 or 3:30.

If you need help getting to PJs, or whatnot, call or email.

The Gathering - Monday, 16 April - 8pm

Chi Alpha New Orleans, is just that, Chi Alpha Campus Ministries for the city of New Orleans. There are individual communities chartered at three of the local universities, currently, but we all get together from time to time as a city-wide community - increasing our diversity, sharing our different stories, and just encouraging one another: "this thing is bigger than me."

One way we do that is our monthly worship gathering, creatively named: The Gathering.

At these gatherings, we take time to meet and greet one another (not just cheesy handshakes), time to pray and sing and listen to God, and time to encounter a relevant message from the Bible.

For April, we will gather on Monday the 16th at Loyola - Danna Center, St. Charles Room @ 8:00 PM.
Our theme will be: the Magnitude of God.

If you need a ride from UNO contact Kelly Cabrera (she's on facebook), or call 504.324.9880
